WATT Mary Isabella (nee Macleod), aged 91 years, most precious, dearly beloved wife of Jack, most wonderful mum to Mairi, amazing gran to Kirsty and Katy and doting great-gran to Cameron and Emmeline. After 30 years of suffering, so very bravely borne, Mary passed away, peacefully, on March 4, 2023, after a short stay at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, with her family by her side. She was a dedicated former Matron of Montrose Royal Infirmary (3 Dickson Avenue, Hillside, Montrose). For the last 4 years Mary and Jack lived in Taverham, Norwich, close to their daughter. She was the last surviving child of six of Duncan and Mary (nee Murray) Macleod, of 13 New Shawbost. Mary's funeral will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, April 14, in Shawbost Village Free Church, on the Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, the place of her birth, which she so dearly loved, followed by committal at Dalmore Cemetery and a celebration of Mary's life in The Shawbost Old School Centre. Family and friends welcome. Family flowers only, please. Voluntary donations in Mary's memory can be made to the Edith Cavell Nurses' Trust via a box in the Church. Alternatively, please search "Katy Burgess 7" and select "In Memory of Mary Watt". For those unable to travel, the funeral will be live streamed via the following link: https://www.youtube. com/@shawbostfree churchofscotland Mary's love, warmth, generosity, selflessness and smile will be so sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
