SCOTT (Banchory) Peacefully at Inchmarlo House Nursing Home, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, Guy Jeffrey, aged 81 years. Dear brother of Linda Inches, of Forres, dear uncle to David, the late Susan and to her husband Marcus, and great-uncle to Nicola, Natalie, Elle and Joss. Service in Baldarroch Crematorium, Crathes, on Tuesday, February 7, at 4pm, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

I had the privilege to work alongside Guy for over 30 years. He was a great character, fun loving, athletic a pleasure to work alongside. I have many happy memories of the leisure times we had in the better days at M&G. I recall one evening at his home in Banchory, Dave Rae, Andrew Ford, Norman Shepherd and myself had a party. We drank a lot of beers and gin however we ran out of tonic so the whole new experience for me was when Guy said 'OK, it'll have to be water instead.'
As I recall I woke up in the morning having slept in the bath....LOL
There were many other escapades (sober), launching water filled balloons out of the top floor window in attempt to scare the elderly gardener was one.
I remember once when he was on a telephone call to a client he had been leaning back on the two back legs of his chair when suddenly the chair went underneath him and he landed on the floor with a loud shreik. Think he terrified the client at the other end of the phone...LOL
He could get quite angry at times and broke the phone a couple of times slamming it back in the cradle having been annoyed with the conversation.
Those were fun days. RIP GJS
