RAE Sadly, on March 23, 2021, Ian, much loved husband of Jane, beloved father of Jenny and Heather, son of Barbara and the late William Rae and brother of Pat, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home. Funeral private due to current restrictions. No flowers. If you wish, please donate to Marie Curie, MacMillan Nurses, or British Heart Foundation.

I worked with Ian in my time as a Deputy Head at Hazlehead Academy. He was liked by both pupils and colleagues and added much to the life of the school. Actually heard of his passing through an ex-colleague who is now in Australia and was very sad to hear the news.

It was a pleasure to know Ian ,such a fit, active, sociable man ready to experience and enjoy every aspect of his life. Dan would often tell friends about Ian having climbed all the Munros, twice. Ian will be sadly missed by a great many people. All we can do for Ian now, is be there to support his wife, Jane. Rest in peace Ian.
