BIRNIE (Alves/New Deer) Sydney, passed away peacefully, aged 88 years, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Abbeyside Care Home, Elgin, after a sair fecht with dementia. Beloved husband for over 62 years of Evie, much loved dad of Audrey, Sydney junior and the late Hilary, father-in-law of Peter, proud granda to William, Scott, Nick, Hazel and Callum and great-granda to Rachael, Sophie and Heidi. Will be sorely missed by all. Sydney's funeral will be private at his own request. In memory of Sydney and in lieu of flowers, friends and family may wish to consider donating to the Forget Me Not Appeal being run by the Alzheimer's Society during May.
