AITKEN Catherine Catherine passed away peacefully, on Saturday, March 27, 2021, with her family by her bedside. Predeceased by her parents Christopher and Williamina (Mina) Curran, brother Christopher and sister Rosemary Branch (Curran). Survived by beloved and loving husband Alex of 65 years and much loved daughter Alison Aitken and brother William (Bill) of BC, and several nieces and nephews in Scotland and elsewhere. Fondly remembered by sisters- in-law Danella McCain in North Carolina and Nancy Barlow in England. Catherine was born in Dundee, Scotland, a place which has always been in her heart, and emigrated with her husband and daughter to Canada in 1967. She trained as a nurse in Scotland and since coming to Canada was employed in several areas in the medical field and later worked in kidney dialysis as a sales representative and then held a similar position for a science based company. At Catherine's request, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be returned to her birthplace. Many thanks to LHIN, CBI London and St Elizabeth Health Care for their great help and support. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer's Society and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
